Job Seeker FAQ

Job availability changes on a daily basis. Once our application process is complete, you will be considered based on your preferences and your skills and will be offered appropriate positions. You are invited to check in with us daily.

If you are not currently on assignment, you may also visit, call, or text your local branch when it opens in the morning for daily needs.

You may fill out an application online or you may visit your local office to fill out an application. You will be asked to provide complete work history information as well as asked preference of shift, type of work and preference of location.

After the application is complete, you will interview with a staffing manager. In the interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss what vocational skills you have and what you are looking for in your next position. The staffing manager will discuss not only what specific skills you have, but also find out more about your experiences in job-related settings.

Pirate Staffing does reference checks with previous employers and other references provided by applicants. Once reference information is complete, you will be offered jobs based on all the factors of your interview process.

Before you go out on assignment, you may also be asked to complete testing to determine skill levels. You may also be required to complete orientation and safety training either with Pirate Staffing or on the job site.

Pirate Staffing does not discriminate against any applicant or personnel because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, genetic information or any other status protected by law.

Pirate Staffing Provides state-of-the-art training on-demand that can be accessed from almost any device. Your recruiter will work with you on selecting and completing the appropriate training to help you get prepared for your assignment.

Pirate Staffing fills jobs daily. We encourage our employees to keep their availability updated so we can deploy you as soon as we have a job that suits you. We realize that it is not always convenient for you to check in daily, you are simply encouraged to stay in touch with our office, so we are aware of your availability.

Many of our hardworking employees who are not on assignment visit their local office each morning upon opening to deploy to serve immediate openings. Talk to your recruiter about the protocol at your local branch.

Not every job is going to meet the expectations you have. If you are not interested in a position, you are free to decline. We will continue to offer positions to you based on your skills and preferences.

We realize that not every job is a good fit; sometimes you do not know that until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it is not going to work for you, we will ask that you contact us immediately. You may be asked to stay at an assignment long enough for us to find a replacement, but we will attempt to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. As with any interaction, communication is the key. We expect open communication from our field employees, and they can expect the same from Pirate Staffing.

As an applicant, you will not pay for any of the services Pirate Staffing provides.

Some of our positions will be posted on our job board. Others, like last-minute openings, will not be posted online. Keep in contact with your local office to be considered for all openings.
